1: It's a decent map...
If you are one of the three people who intend to travel to this worker's paradise in 2007 or 2008, then this map is pretty good. Besides, it's not like you have so many choices. The map nicely and cleanly displays these features (from the map legend):
Highways
Primary and secondary roads
Earthen roads
Trails
Tracks
Railroads
Ship and ferry routes
Ports
Airports and airfields
Parks
Game reserves
Dams and waterfalls
Swamps and mangroves
Coral reefs
Lighthouses
Hotels
Safari bungalows
Camp sites,
Restaurants
Gas stations
Churches and mosques
Museums
Monuments
Hospitals
Post offices
Rail stations
Bus terminals
Points of interest
Tourist information
Altitude (in meters)
The map is simple and clear, and unobtrusively depicts topography.
There are two insets that show Maputo (the capital city) and Beira (Mozambique's second port city), on a less than 1 kilometer scale. They list the more prominent buildings and offices, which you might find useful. Get your immunizations before you go -- and have a great trip!
