1: Disappointing
The first novel I read by Ms. Austin was 'Savannah's Vision', published by Ellora's Cave. It was wonderfully erotic and in some ways quite disturbing, as there was a character that intended to harm a small child. It was a book worth reading, though. Tamara's character in that book was much more self assured and likeable. I found myself wishing for Tamara's Vison to be over quickly so I could put in in the give away box. I was quite disappointed in her character development and wished Nicole had left it as was. I looked forward to an equally driven storyline but ultimately felt it was a bit watered down. I will be a bit more selective in the future when thinking about purchasing her books.

2: BORING!
I will read just about anything and can usually find something good about it, but with apologies to Ms. Austin, I just couldn't do that here. Just about every washed-up stereotype was thrown into this novel. The shaman Indian who's high-handedness is explained by his closeness to the Spirit...the sexually abused foster child who has grown up to be sexually manipulative & totally lonely, but after sitting in the woods for two days alone, comes to terms with her past and is grateful to the aforementioned Indian who kidnapped her and left her alone in the wilderness. Sheesh. It's hard to digest.

3: positive review
This was the first book that I have read by this author. I could not put the book down--- it was so good! Sexy, funny, sad at times, but with a spiritual ending. I plan on locating more of her work.
