1: Rick Steves' Rome 2009 Update
Just got back from our Rome trip and this book saved us a lot of time and money. It is very detailed and helped in getting around and understanding Rome. The walking tours were great, some of the parts were exactly what the tour guides were telling their groups. I highly recommend this book for people who like to go on their own.

2: Nice Guide
I have not been to Rome yet so I cannot vouch for how accurate this book is, but we're planning a trip and will definitely take this book. It covers many things when vacationing, and lots of tips for where pickpockets hang out and hownot to get ripped off. Don't let phony policemen ask to see if your money is counterfeit!

4: Just returned from Rome
An excellent guidebook for visitors to Rome and even better when used with Rick Steve's podcasts which are free on the web. We saw many people using this guidebook as well as his podcasts.

5: Valuable
Very useful book. A four day visit to Rome is a short amount of time but using this book we were able to hit the highlights and avoid the pitfalls. Some entry fees for attractions are wrong but the advice about avoiding lines at the Colleseum by buying tickets at the Furum is invaluable
