I recommend "The Doctor's Book of Food Remedies" (by Selene Yeager and the Editors of "Prevention" magazine.) It is an easy to use book full of helpful health hints, to supplement your own doctors' care. It even includes some good recipes!

Even I am not a medical specialist, I think this book is useful as family book which can teached anything about health. Through this book now I try to read deeply and ddcided my family diet as possible.

5: "Ho Hum" Conventional Wisdom
I had high hopes for this book considering the wonderful title but soon found it is run of the mill conventional. As soon as I hit the "Dairy is good for you" chapter, I knew the authors were not fully informed as dairy is of concern and may CAUSE much osteoporosis not cure it.
This book is good for the person who is just beginning to think of food as medicine but leaves out many of the important new facts regarding possible negative food issues.
