1: great service
Es un muy buen libro. Desde el momento que lo vi me di cuenta de que era lo que estaba buscando.
Además el sistema de envío al exterior de USA de Amazon.com es muy bueno (llegó a Uruguay en menos de 2 semanas).
Excelente

2: Eh, its alright ....
I don't get the five stars everyone is giving this ... its alright, but not amazing. There are a couple of really nice poster examples, but most of them are just ok. I'm a designer myself and all for new and exciting contemporary design, but if you own any of the poster books from say the 70s - The Art of the Fillmore, Rick Griffin, even Film Posters of the 70s etc. - when you flip through 'Masters of Poster Design' you'll be thinking what happened !! poster artists today seem so lame and tame and lazy !! Maybe we're just not on so many drugs on anymore ... which is probably a good thing but looking at this book seems to make for some pretty boring art. Its also makes you think does anyone actually draw anymore? Most examples in this book are so slick and smooth and computerised, it makes me think designers today are really lazy. Just because you're great at Illustrator doesn't make you a 'Master' of design!
I do highly recommend Burlesque of North America's work if you're looking for amazing contemporary poster art - their posters for the Arcade Fire last year were especially beautiful - can't remember if they even got a mention in this book? And if you're going to spend some money on a design book today spend it on one of Michael Perry's books - either 'Over and Over' or 'Hand Job' - instead of this one.
Overall this book is ok, I guess its a pretty good survey of fairly corporate feeling contemporary poster design, but I have to say I was disappointed. And seriously, what is up with the cover design of this book!? It is horrendous!! Which is just my personal opionion of course, but could they have come up with an uglier drawing style/ font/ layout/ color scheme? Come on people who have said this is nice, that is the ickiest brown ever! I found the dust jacket so ugly I threw it out on its arrival.

3: Beautiful posters; beautiful package
For anyone who feared that the poster was dead, this book shows that there still are extraordinary creative talents hard at work in the genre. Maybe there are fewer analogue posters and more digital ones, but this book keeps the idea alive splendidly.

4: Posters
A great compilation of modern graphic design in poster genre. A must-have for those who follow the poster as art form. It is great fun, includes recent history, and can be useful for working graphic designers as well as collectors
