1: Great Addition to the Series
When I started reading this, I said.... oh my goodness Sabrina the little neighborhood pest has grown up. She always did have a crush on the twins, but her choice was John because he was so nice to her. He bought those candy bars that she was selling when she was kid and he never really treated her like a pest. She was an obnoxious kid who grew up to be a very loving, strong willed young lady. John had a hard time with the transition from seeing her as the pesty little girl who lived next door his sister to the desirable woman she became, but Sabrina didn't lose sight of her goal to make him love her. Through the tragedy of Katrina, they were able to find each other, love each other and find strength in each other. It was a really sweet story and a enjoyable read.

2: Post Katrina Love in New Orleans
I loved this book. I read this book in 4 hours. The chemistry between Sabrina and John was electric. I am so glad that Sabrina knew what she wanted and went for it. No games; John was the man she needed. I am happy John finally realized Sabrina was not the little girl he remembered.
The main backdrop of the story was dealing with life post Hurricane Katria. Dealing with the harsh realities after hurricane Katrina must have been hell for those who lived there. I like the music influence in the story as Jazz is so central to New Orleans. Everything flowed so nicely.
I will say that you will enjoy the book so much more if you've read the other stories in the series first. So much of this story was catching up on the principal characters from previous stories in this "Love Found" series. As a stand alone book, the book is good but not great. That said, get the books in this series. They are Fate, Chances, Misconceptions, Ironic and then read this book. You will not be disappointed by the Love Found Series.

Sabrina Adams has known the two things she wanted to accomplish in life since she was a child. The first is to dance and the second one is to let her best-friend's brother know exactly how she feels about him. John Lewis lives and breathes music. He feels that there is no room in his life for a wife, because music is his one and only love. Sabrina is displaced from her home, like thousands of other's running from the storm. She is mortified when she realizes that she is stuck in a shelter with John. The same John that she embarrassed herself with by throwing herself at him, the previous night, in hopes that he would return her feelings. John can't believe his luck, first he runs out of gas on his way home from a gig, and then he finds himself wondering when Sabrina went from being "the pest" to a full-grown, curvy woman. But he has time to think about it out while he and the rest of world wait for the aftermath of a "Storm" named Katrina.

Sabrina is a loving, happy, and caring person, who, like most women, will move heaven and earth to make sure those she love are safe and taken care of. She handles the situation with John very well, even though she allows her uncle to treat her like a minor caught sneaking around with an older man. John, to my dismay, seems somewhat childish, until you realize that he internalizes everything and it takes him a little longer to process his feelings. This becomes evident by his refusal to return to New Orleans and accept the fact that everything he's ever known may be gone. But luckily, he still has the love and support of his family. I love the supporting characters, especially the meddling grandmother's. Their antics are hilarious. It was also fun to see John's family encourage Sabrina and continue to treat her like family, even when John's indecisiveness begins to take its toll.

STORM is a well written, fast-paced story about people surviving the Katrina disaster and going on to either rebuild their lives in New Orleans, or make new ones in other areas of the country. Ms. Starr focused on the human element, and how everyone has to learn to release the past in order to embrace the future. She has written a story of hope and the renewal of the spirit that can only come from surviving the devastation of one's history and the loss of everything we hold dear.

4: Getting What you Want
It is said that if you want something, go after it. That is exactly what Sabrina Adams did in STORM. As a young teen she found herself having a crush on twin brothers, Josh and John, while babysitting at their house. As she grew up, she found she loved John. John was a caring, jazz playing, music teacher who saw Sabrina as a young girl, so he could not view her as a potential love interest.

It took a great devastation to pull the two former neighbors close together. Hurricane Katrina, one of the country's worst natural disasters to hit the Gulf Coast in New Orleans brought more than pain, destruction and death to the families experiencing the aftermath of this horrific disaster, it brought a togetherness of people striving to survive. Sabrina and John found themselves in the midst of the destruction and their feelings. Sabrina was in love with John and knew he loved her, but getting him to admit it would be like saying Hurricane Katrina never happened.

Pamela Leigh Starr's novel details many events, situations, and problems people lived through and experienced as they sought to savage their city, families and communities. Readers would be captivated by the details, great characterizations and good plot, which showed how love can blossom even when the other person is determined to remain friends. Sabrina wanted John, and Starr was able to visibly take us on the trip as Sabrina set out to get the man of her dreams. Although her writing was strong, the review copy had editing issues that will hopefully be corrected before the book is printed. Otherwise, this was a sweet, romantic and interesting story that kept me reading to find out if you really went after what you wanted, could you really get it. I recommend this book to those who are looking for love and those who've already found it.
