1: finally a great comic w/o all the gore! we love this series and highly recommend it because it is adventurous and funny w/o relying on blood and guts or shock value to keep your interest. i would like to thank mark crilley for producing such a fine illustrated tale w/ interesting characters and great 'sound effects' :) keep them coming! i only wish i could find more like this.
2: A great story - appeals to kids and adults Akiko on the Planet Smoo is a delightful story about a young girl who reluctantly leads a ragtag team of adventurers on a dangerous quest to rescue the prince, held captive by the evil queen Alia Rellapore on the planet Smoo. The artwork is superb and engaging. The story is funny and smart. This is a great story to read aloud to your kids or to read on their own. The worst part is on reaching the last page and realizing that the adventure is over, at least until the next trade paperback is available. Fortunately for us the adventures continue.
