1: Delightful Scones
Karen Pepkin, an incredible baker, taste-tests her recipes on many people before she publishes her cookbooks. Only the ones with outstanding reviews make the cut! Having tasted numerous baked goods of Karen's for many years, I heartily recommend BOTH of her cookbooks! They also make great "wishing well" gifts for showers. Add a scone pan and you have a regular gift that is both unusual and interesting. Scones are wonderful for brunches and breakfasts, but they are also delicious for snacks and desserts.
