1: Don't waste your time and money
I bought this book thinking I might find something new and interesting. Anything but. Mr. Pearl's overblown ego seeps into every page. I have a serious problem with his casual dismissal of all other time-tested healing modalities as passe and low-rent. Apparently only his newly discovered system has any value-- according to him, of course. Healing energy is healing energy and it ALL comes from the Universal Source. I seriously doubt that the Universe has a catagory for just plain old regular healing energy and an elevated catagory for Mr. Pearl's whiz bang super special stuff. And at the mention of "channeling" my BS meter immediately red-lines. It seems that the "channeled" information always reaffirms just how doggone special the recipient is.
As far as attending one of his over-priced seminars (which he shamelessly hawks throughout the book) to have your hands "activated", all you need do is check your brain at the door.
Mr. Pearl's lips must be blue from blowing his own horn as he makes his way to the bank with bundles of cash from his gullible disciples.
For anyone interesed in an intelligent and in-depth look at healing energy I recommend Joys Way by Brugh Joy, MD.

2: Interesting
I do feel the healing energy of the book. It's interesting that just by reading it, it seems to transmit energy (I've noticed physical changes I've been trying to manifest) but I only wish, this book and the story of how Dr. Pearl started doing healings was a lot more... shall we say... entertaining and engrossing. Instead, this reads like an autobiography that starts from even before he was born in the hospital to his evolution from skeptic to healer. Nothing too exciting--for me anyway.
As for activating your DNA, you may like to try a how to book like Go Up and Seek God: 12-Strand DNA Technique for Healing and Enlightenment and ThetaHealing.

3: Great Read
This is a very good book. When reading it, just keep in mind there are no absolutes. The information is good and should be used as a guideline, there is more than one way to do the reconnection work.

The Book is Ok But you will not learn how to do what he does from it. His DVD is nothing but a sales aid to get you interested enough to take his seminar.

I just recently read Eric Pearls book, :The Reconnection" and loved it. A friend, who works with Reconnecting (Dr. Gene Ang) recommended it to me. It is clear, and exciting to read about his journey with this amazing happening. You really can heal yourself with this energy and help to heal others. I urge everyone out there to explore this, and to read his book. You will be pleased that you did, and your life and others will be enriched.
