1: Excellent! My kids love this book! It's a well-written story about how a little girl and her family deal with the aftermath of Katrina. The illustrations are beautiful and I still tear up a little bit every time I read it! It is a sweet story that offers hope and encouragement and encourages children to reach out to those in need.
2: Beautiful and timely book for kids One of the better books for children dealing with the chaos and trauma of hurricanes. Gorgeous full color illustrations on every page illustrate the story of little Erin and what she has to deal with during and after Hurricane Katrina. This book is well made with thick pages and will stand up to many years of reading. I recommend this book for all the families who actually went through Hurricane Katrina as it will spark many a discussion. Also, kids in hurricane-prone states would benefit from what they can learn from this story. To promote empathy with hurricane victims this book would be a good gift for any child.
