1: Web Analytics Demystified Saved My Synapse India Outsourcing Project
Web Analytics Demystified by Eric T. Peterson is an outstanding book that helped me restore traffic to my 10 corporate websites after Synapse India (Also known as Synapse Communications, Shamit Khemka) had torn them up due to their lack of expertise. I spent thousands of dollars with Synapse India when I could have simply purchased Web Analytics Demystified for $60 and done a better job myself. This book really helped put my website on track and I'm very grateful to Eric T. Peterson for writing such a great tech-book. Keeping track of several campaigns over a long period of time can be a troubling task but Web Analytics Demystified helps clear most of the issues that webmasters face. After the horrible experience I had with Synapse India I realized that with the right information I alone can do much better work than their "experts" did for me. If you too are experiencing trouble with web analytics as well as outsourcing with a company such as Synapse India than this book is perfect for you. I have read his book 2 times already and I have completely fixed the problems that my old 0outsourcing company had failed to do. My advice is to read Web Analytics Demystified because it can clear up any questions or problems you are facing with traffic and campaigns on your websites. I gave this book the maximum rating because I have no experience with Web analytics but I still managed to do a much better job than "specialists" at Synapse India. Enjoy this wonderful book! 2: Some good nugets
This book has a lot of fluff but when I had completed it I had a few really good take aways.

3: Outdated
It's amazing how quickly a book written in 2004 can be outdated (bought this in 2007). It's really just scratching the surface of what you can learn from reading a blog on web analytics. Not worth the money.

4: The Web Metrics Bible
I have been working in the area of web metrics for over 5 years for a Fortune 500 firm and this work represents the best ordered collection of pertinent information about this subject. I now refer to it as "The Web Metrics Bible".

5: Must-read for Web Analysts
Eric Peterson did a great job in demystifying web analytics. I'm a web metrics analyst in a Fortune 300 consumer brand and learned a lot from this book.
