1: Excellent Book. Buy! Buy!
The information in this book is comprehensive, accurate, and well organized. I especially appreciated the summary page where each snorkel spot is graded based on access, water clarity etc. Different people may be interested in different aspects, such as families with children may be more interested in ease of access than other qualities. This allows you to pick and choose based on your preferences.
This book is money well spent if you are interested in snorkeling. It amazed me so many people at our hotel were fighting over pool cabanas by the when you have the clearest waters of the world teaming with beautiful fish and other creatures of the sea at your doorstep, which you can explore for free. Snorkeling is a very inexpensive sport, especially when all the beaches and waterfront in Hawaiian islands are open to public. Some of the best snorkel spots are in front of top class hotels, yet any member of the public can use them and enjoy the natural beauty. This book is also excellent in terms of where you can expect to swim with the turtles. We did see at least one sea turtle at each spot this book mentioned that they would be present.

2: Best snorkel guides for Hawaii
My spouse and I have used the Malinowskis' snorkel guides for both Maui and the Big Island. To us, they are invaluable. Snorkel sites are not "created equal." The Malinowskis tell you which sites are best in terms of what's to see and ease of entry. They also give you insight about best times to visit the site, and safety issues to be aware of. Snorkel Maui and their other guides are MUSTS for those who want to experience the beautiful under-water side of the Hawaiian Islands, and do so safely.

3: Worth buying just for the pictures!
Snorkel Maui has been my guide to where to snorkel for years. This new version now also has color pictures of the best beaches, and helps you decide where to go next. I love looking at the pictures now at home, as they remind me of how beautiful Maui is.
Though I haven't made it to Molokai yet, it's interesting to learn a little bit about it in case I might visit there someday.
All the new fish pictures are nice, better than many in the fish guidebooks. It's easy to forget how pretty the fish are.
I'm glad I got the new book, and recommend it. I also go to the Big Island, and like that new book, Snorkel Hawaii The Big Island Guide to the Beaches and Snorkeling of Hawaii

4: great book on Maui!
This book is helpful in finding the best places to snorkel on Maui. It also advises on places to avoid. Great book!

5: Accurate and invaluable
I went snorkeling in northwest Maui in April 2007, and found the Malinoski guide to be accurate and more complete than other guides that I read.
