1: A Tara-centric view of Irish history
In addition to historical background, this book includes one view of Irish mythology. I found it well written, easy to read and more or less synchronous with other accounts of Irish mythology (which BTW have as many depictions as there are people willing to give them). It's not as extensive as Lady Gregory's account of Cuchulain, but it's a lot easier to comprehend. I also liked the chronological organization of the book. It's a lovely book to own, professionally published with some beautiful imagery. As its title suggests, it is Tara-centric and rather than a limitation, I found the depth of information a joy to discover.
