1: Two for one
As a lover of quilts and the stories which enhance my knowledge of patterns along with entertaining me, I've yet to be disappointed by Emilie Richards.
Touching Stars is not her latest effort but it is the one most recently read by me. The main plot is enhanced by the story within the story woven in as evening entertainment for young people trying their hands at an "archeological dig". Both stories' surprising resolutions were gratifying. The struggles of the main characters with letting go and truly getting on with their lives struck home. Forgiveness, it appears, is more than pushing back or swallowing the anger fueled by serious hurts. I am sending it along to my niece serving in Iraq hoping it will bring her respite from days filled with snipers and heat, etc.

2: Shenandoah trilogy
Touching Stars is part of the Shenandoah trilogy. I enjoyed reading the series. I purchased the 3 books and read them one after the other. I am looking forward to more books by Emilie Richards.

3: Emilie Richard's books make you want to......
....read more and quilt more! I agree with a previous post read them in order...and it's exciting that the 5th book, Sister's Choice, is now available. I have also collected the quilting pattern books that go along with each of the books.
Emilie's books are engaging and encouraging, bringing to life the characters, the quilting and our country's great history.
I've not been disappointed in any of her writings...glean what you can from each one and then make a quilt.
Authors with this standard make readers want to read and quilters to quilt...what more can you ask for?
High regards to Emilie Richards....

4: Touching Stars
This was an excellent story. This is the first time I have read this authors books, but plan on reading some of the others that she has written. The book came in perfact condition as if I had bought it new.

5: A Beautiful Story!
After reading and absolutely loving Emilie Richards' Wedding Ring I eagerly went out in search of another book in the Shenandoah Album series. I picked up Touching Stars knowing I was not only going to be entertained, but enriched by the story. I was not disappointed. Ms. Richards has once again crafted a beautiful and richly layered story, incorporating history into the modern and complex lives of the characters in the small borough of Tom's Brook. I am thrilled to have discovered such a talented storyteller and I hope she will continue to write this series for many years to come.
