1: Deadline
Following her jailed father's apparent suicide, Tess Abbott becomes unsure that his conviction for murdering her mother was justified. Could he have been innocent, and might his death be a second murder? Her unanswered questions take her back to her home town where she meets Spencer Reed, a reporter as dedicated to truth as she herself is. Together, they unearth a past filled with secrets and lies that could explode all over the current political scene.
The ending is guaranteed to shock and surprise you, and with such a fast paced novel, you will reach that end soon. This is a rewarding read for the true mystery fan.

2: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From New York to Mississippi, from violence, deciet, and murder to romance, this is one thrilling ride.
Tess Abbott is a senator's grandaughter. She is an investigative reporter in New York. When her father commits suicide in prison, just as he is to be paroled for the murder of her mother, she gets a call that changes her life. A woman calls to tell her that her father was murdered before he could get out and prove his innocence with new evidence. Not sure if she believes her caller she decides to do a little investigating. She was only 4 when her mother died and remembers little. Against her family and her desires, her instincts send her back to Grady, Mississippi.
Spencer Reed is a reporter who writes a syndicated column. He is home in Grady Mississippi when Tess arrives at his father's newspaper office. He also has had a call about the murder 25 years ago. When people begin to die and Tess is run off the road, he is sure that something is rotten in Mississippi. The story is riviting and so is Tess.
This is a moving story that builds to a great end. I loved it. I enjoyed every minute between first page to last. The tension, the characters and the unknown twists keep you on the edge of your chair. I hardily recommend this book. Metsy Hingle is some writer.

3: Ms. Hingle Has Delivered Again!
Ms. Hingle has delivered yet again another romantic suspense that will keep the reader enthralled until the final page.
Tess Abbott is a sucessful TV investigative reporter and just weeks after the suicide death of her father she gets a call that changes her life and sends her on a journey into her past and she might just find out what happened the night her mother was murdered. With the help of a few of the locals of Grady, Mississippi namely reporter Spencer Reed, she starts an investigation that will create more questions than answers with all of the players being big political movers and shakers. Will she be able to accept in the end who killed her mother and took her life away from her? But more importantly will she allow herself to let Spencer into her heart?
This was a very fast paced read with plenty of twists and turns on Tess' path to truth. The secondary characters play a very important part in the primary storyline and the relationship between Andy and Maggie only added to the stoy. Ms. Hingle delivers everytime and as a result I have no problem recommending this read, or any of her other efforts in print.

4: Good Suspense
I thought this book was much better than Metsy Hingle's previous outings. I thought the ending was slightly rushed and I didn't quite get the "revenge" I wanted or the confrontation I was looking forward to but the mystery and suspense part of the book was really good. The romance left me wanting more. I think Maggie and Andy deserved a book of their own--there was so much more there--I actually liked them better than Tess and Spencer. All in all this is a good book worth reading. I had a hard time putting it down--wanting to find out who the killer is. (It wasn't who I thought it was)

5: DEADLINE is a winner
Fans of romantic suspense will find DEADLINE fast paced and intriguing. The main character Tess Abbott, who is the granddaughter of a US Senator and a Washington DC TV Investigative Reporter, decides to discover who really murdered her mother 25 years ago. Her father, convicted of the crime, has died in jail labeled as a suicide, just before he is paroled and could reveal the real murderer. Spencer Reed is a hard-hitting political journalist who is in the thick of it trying to discredit the leading candidate in the race for the vacant Mississippi's Governor's seat. He joins Tess in her search for the truth, hopeful that her discovery will bring light to his suspicions that not all things are as they appear in the capital of Mississippi. But as witnesses who implicated her father at his trial turn up dead, the killer turns his focus on Tess as she gets closer to the truth.
DEADLINE gives the reader a quick look into the field of investigative journalism and political intrigue in the State of Mississippi from a rural viewpoint. Emotions run high, danger is ever present and there is a twist in the plot as to who the actual murderer is. Romance is secondary to the real goal of exposing injustice. This book has strong main and secondary characters and the story plays out in a small Mississippi town of Grady, where everyone knows everyone else's business.
Fans of Metsy Hingle will enjoy her latest book.
