1: Married an Egineer
This book, and the whole Maisy series, is engaging. Even my 3 month old nephew pays attention. The primary colors and simple illustrations keep him and my two-year-old daughter engaged for the whole story.
The drawback is the paper pages; they don't stand up to a toddler. However, my daughter can't relinquish "her" books and doesn't mind tape on the pages.

2: One of our favorites
This is a cute book. Our 3 year old still likes it because we laugh at how silly it is when Maisy's friend comes over to take a bath. Also it is nice and quick when you just don't want to read a long book after a long day.

I'm pretty new to Maisy. She looks like a cute character.
That said, I have serious misgivings about this book.
I had to read "Maisy Takes a Bath" to a classroom of seventeen 4-5 year olds in a public school.
As part of the warm-up, I talked with the kids about bubble bath and rubber duckies. I had them spot the rubber duck in the pictures. So far so good. But when Maisy's friend Talleulah comes in, goes upstairs, takes off her clothes and gets into Maisy's bath, the kids said "Ewww", and I felt the same. On the finally page, Maisy and Talleulah are in the bath together and they say "Hooray!"
Though I'm on the liberal side and don't fuss about things like wardrobe malfunctions, it didn't work for me to celebrate someone walking into a house uninvited, with no explanation, going upstairs, taking off her clothes and joining another person in the bath. The kids looked baffled/appalled by it, and I still don't get what the point is.

I love all the Maisy books. This is another great one. This is especially good for bath night.

5: My Daughter's First Maisy Book
If you are the parent of a young child, you probably know who Maisy is. She's a mouse with a duck, a squirrel, an elephant, and a crocodile for friends. Why the crocodile isn't trying to eat the others is beyond me, but that's life in Maisy's world.Both of my daughters love the Maisy books; there's something about their simple stories and colorful pictures that even appeals to adults. The books are short and easy to read. But, the stories are never obnoxiously simplistic, like so many other books for small children. This was the first Maisy book we ever bought our oldest daughter. Both of of our daughters still like it as Maisy attempts to take a bath but finds herself interrupted by Tallulah. Not one of my personal favorites, although I really can't explain why. I suspect my children are part fish, so maybe they like it because of that fact and because they love bath time (or any other opportunity to get wet).
