1: One of the Best Book I've Read
I just finished this book and it was one of those you never wanted to end. I LOVED it. I have only read a few of Rice's books and have loved all of them. This is well worth the time and money. I could really feel the emotions and connections of all the characters. MUST READ!!!!!

2: not up to par
I am a huge fan of Luanne Rice, but this book disappointed me. I found it boring and difficult to get into. This surprises me as I love horses and the theme really appeals to me. But I found the child to be just too over the top and difficult to relate to. (I feel I can make that statement since I share a similar background.) I did enjoy the history of the area, but I had to force myself to finish the book. It also seemed that the ending was just too unreal. If the child was that much of a basket case, it seemed unlikely all would be solved in an instant.

3: Another Great Read
I am a fan of Luanne Rice. Although this one is a bit slow to get gong it is well worth the needed push to get into it. Once I was in to the story I literally did not put it down until I was done! Thank you Luanne for another fantastic story. I always feel like I KNOW your characters and this one was no exception.

4: Wonderful Story!
This was the first of her books I've read, and I'm DEFINATELY going to read more! This story was a beautiful romantic soul-searcher. It has a bit of a 'Horse Whisperer' feel to it, though there are no married persons involved, and this is a good example that a story can be all you think it should be to be satisfying without the smut and language that so many authors put in their books these days. The end also was not what I expected. Normally in a romance he meets her, you know they're going to end up together, the only thing left is to read the story to find out how. Not so in this book. The setting was a bit difficult for me. I had a hard time with the names of the towns, and I'm afraid I don't have much of an imagination when it comes to far away places. But the story was so good that those limitations didn't matter. A good romance, a good horse book, a great page-turner for sure.

5: Boring and Predictable
This was my 13th Rice book as I've loved most of the others, but if this had been my first, it would have been my last. As my title shows, I found the characters boring and the whole story too predictable. Hard to believe Marie would have left her 8 y/o daughter in the way she did and never look back. I made myself read it to the end but I thought it would take forever. Rice is better than this, in my opinion. Maybe I'm just tired of these chick/lits!!!
