1: Funny!
Seventh-grader Alice McKinley's going to marry her boyfriend Patrick, while her friend Pamela is a single mother and her other friend Elizabeth is about to purchase her first car. Well, not exactly...it's an assignment for a class, which is geared toward teaching junior high students how to prepare for real life situations.
Within weeks, Alice is alarmed to learn just how much money it takes to plan a wedding - even a simple one - and start a new life. She is stunned at people's reactions, when Pamela sticks a pillow under a maternity blouse and ventures out into town. And a classmate, unhappy about getting a "boring" assignment, decides the only way to get revenge is to accuse their teacher of something...
Readers will enjoy hearing about Alice, who is just like an ordinary girl facing ordinary problems, but with such humor and spirit, they naturally want to know everything will turn out okay in the end...

2: This book is awsome!
When I read the first line:
"Patrick and I are getting married, Pamela is preganent, and Elizabeth is buying a car" I thought, Whoa, Did I miss something? Alice and her classmates are doing a unit on how choices can effect your future, and Alice and Patrick have a wedding to plan for 5,000$, which includes the honeymoon,and the furnature. Hard to get by with that kind of budget! I thought it was really funny how Pamela pretends to be preganent while she "job hunts" to see how hard it is to be a preganent teen. I was biting my nails when the salesman wanted Elizabeth to take the car of her dreams for a test spin. This is definitly a book for girls ins seventh to ninth grade, although it really depends on your maturity. This is a great book and I can't wait to read the next one!

3: This book rocks your socks
I thought this book was awesome. Phyllis Renolds Naylor is an excellent author mostly because she's soo descriptive. This was my favorite book in the Alice Series. I hope any of you who is reading this goes straight to buy it on Amazon.com

Alice in lace is a book that starts out by jumping strait to the point.
There is a girl named Alice and she has two best friends Pamela, and Elizabeth. The class has just got back from summer vacation, and has just started in the eighth grade. Then in health class an assignment pops up that has all the students in the class stuck with a hypothetical situation to help learn about making good choices.
My favorite part of the book was when one of the girls had to go buy a car and had to test-drive it and it turned out to be a problem. There weren't many things that I didn't like so I wont mention it. The effect that it had on me was that life is similar to this book so I really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this book to girls and my friends because its based on girls lives. If you want to find out more the book then you can read it.

5: This book is by far the funniest in the Alice series
I've read every book in the Alice series about a hundred times, but this is the one that I particulary enjoy. It's hilarious, for one. When Elizabeth, Pamela, and Alice go to check out cars for Elizabeth's project, and when Pamela goes around with a pillow under her shirt so she's pregnant. I laugh so hard each time I read this. It's definitly a book I'd recommend.
