1: enjoyable book- don't be put off
This book has more substance to it than some of the readers have recognized. It starts out slow so you can understand what Carrie goes through. If you want everything to be explained the moment it happens then this is not the book for you.
But if you like a romantic thriller that keeps you guessing than 'Stealing Shadows' is it. The relationship between Ben and Carrie is a little disjointed but I think that keeps the suspense up. Characters come and go and not always smoothly...but that is alright. It keeps you wondering.
I am looking forward to reading the other books in this trilogy.

2: Suspense at its finest... for the last 75 pages
Cassie is a psychic who is hiding from her past and her abilities. However, when a serial killer victimizes the small town in which she has tried to find peace she feels a moral obligation to help local law enforcement in their hunt for the killer.
This book was a little cheesy but enjoyable. From the description I expected a nail-biting thriller, but instead the book focused more on the characters and a developing romance between Cassie and the local judge. The last quarter of the book had a respectable amount of suspense, and a surprise (though perhaps implausible) ending.
The best part of this book was Cassie, the brave but vulnerable protagonist. From the previews of the next two books in the trilogy it appears that she will not be a part of the upcoming stories, which is a shame... she was the best thing about the first one.

3: Stealing Shadows
I think Kay Hooper has a great style of writing that creates a relationship with the reader and the characters. This particular story's murder mystery is a little slow, but I feel like I really know the main character. This will help a lot as I read the next two books from this trilogy.

4: Stealing Shadows Book
Excellent book, suspenseful, a definite page turner. This book is among the many well written books by Kay Hooper, and is of the "Shadows" series. I have read several books by her, and she has become one of my favorite authors. I cannot get enough of her books. Her stories are filled with mystery, and the twists and turns keep you guessing. Highly recommend all of her other books. Received in perfect condition, and quick and easy transaction.

5: Great page turner
As a fan of historical romances, I usually don't deviate. A friend recommended this book and I couldn't put it down! Fast paced with interesting characters, Kay Hooper is now on my list of must read authors. It grabs you from the first page all the way to the end and I very much look forward to reading more of her books. Definitely NOT a dissapointment!!!
