1: Don't read this Teresa Medeiros
I usually enjoy Teresa Medeiros, but I couldn't even finish Breath of Magic. I was really excited to start reading it because the plot sounded intriguing and different.
Unfortunately the characters didn't work for me. I liked the heroine, but the guy was terrible. I know the reader isn't supposed to like him at first, but even when I was introduced to some of his softer qualities, such as "he was nerdy," "he lived in an orphanage," and finally "his mother used him because he was rich," I still didn't feel sorry for him or like him.
If you are looking for a really good book, read Medeiros' A Whisper of Roses.

2: A disappointment
I really did try to like this book. I don't know - kind of middling,...

3: Breath of Magic
Great book. Modern day story with love, magic, and time travel all weaved in. Wonderful settings with rich characters. I almost feel like I was there during the time travel changes. Scene changes so realistic. The romantic element was lively, realistic, and juicy. Not predictable and kept me guessing what would happen next. Really fun!

4: Can't get enough
I can't get enough of this book. The characters pull at your heart with the emotions they experience and with a little magic throw into the mix this makes for an excellent book.

5: Enchanting and fun to read
Arian is drowning. The townspeople of Gloucester believe she's a witch and the test is to see if she can float or sink in the lake. If she sinks, then she is innocent. She is, of course, dead, but hey, what's more important is that she's not a witch. If she floats, then she truly is a witch.
Before Arian drowns, she clutches her emerald locket and concentrates on the spell she wrote down for her escape. A couple of twirls later, she's on her broomstick, flying through New York City and into the arms of Tristan Lennox, a handsome billionaire.
Tristan was hosting a competition of sorts when Arian came flying in. He offered a million dollars to any person who can prove that magic existed. Since it seems that Arian is the most legitimate entrant, Tristan puts her up in his suite and dispatches his army of scientists and detectives to prove she's a fraud.
In the meantime, Arian is wreaking havoc in his life. The press has permanently camped out on Tristan's doorstep, his staff is swamped with fielding calls and answering mail, and he has to bunk out in his office since Arian is sleeping in his suite.
After several weeks of trying to prove Arian a fraud, Tristan relents and hosts a huge celebration where he presents Arian with a million dollar check. He is, also, loath to part from Arian so a marriage proposal follows afterward. But before the wedding reception is over, an old enemy demonstrates that Arian is a fraud.
Tristan is enraged and distraught over Arian's betrayal, and it took an act that nearly cost Arian her life to force Tristan to believe her. But by then it's too late, Arian is swept back to seventeenth century New England and into the clutches of Tristan's nemesis.
This was a fun book to read. Enchanting in its weave with a humorous and enthralling love story. Arian is a wonderful character. She is filled with enough curiosity, passion, and humor to make you laugh out loud. Her antics are highly entertaining. She is the perfect foil for the anal and uptight Tristan.
