1: The continueing saga of Anita Blake
As a long time reader of Ms. Hamilton, I appreciate the opportunity to obtain books that are now hard to find in book stores.
|
2: For Adults Only... Well Older Teen too.
Laurell K. made a great story in this book, a person wants her dead for over 500,000 dollars. She has to team up with Jean-Claude to find this person, and see what they want with her. Her relationship with Richard is heavily strained in this, as she has never seen him transform. These things all make up the theme for the book, fear and relying on who you trust. She didn't trust Richard very well in this book since she was afraid of his transformation. This now makes Richard (In later books) annoying as heck and unable to trust her again. But now and again have the fling, which I look forward to in book 19... hopefully. Jean-Claude finaly develops fully to me in this book, he is now the vampire of any girl's dreams. He protects Anita after this novel. The love-making (it was to my reading) scene between her and Jean-Claude shows how much they care for each other before she gains the big harem that consumes readers later. I say this is a great read, and you can finish it in one sitting.

3: A good addition to the series...
I enjoyed reading this addition to the series. The focus was more on relationships (primarily that of the Richard/Anita/Jean-Claude triangle) rather than on the plot/action. I don't want to post any spoilers, and others have posted enough details about the plot anyway, so I'll just add that it was a fast read, with great tension between the main characters, and (finally) a resolution with the triangle - or at least a tentative resolution. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.

4: Great Reading
The Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series is unbelieveable and The Killing Dance is just as thrilling as the previous 5 books in the series. A must read for Vampire Book readers.

5: I did read this in one sitting!!!!
I have NEVER read a book in one day flat... It wasn't even the whole day. I just couldn't put it down and so far this has been the absolutely most exciting book in the series.
