1: Informative and well written, recommended for young designers
I'm currently in college and my professor recommended this book for class. I'm glad she did. It taught a lot about design that I did not get from classes and the interview give insight to the current world of design.

2: PERFECT for someone interested in the Graphic Design field.
I've read through (and looked through) this book quite a few times, and each time I find something new. It has pretty much every sub-field in GD to sample the work of a professional in that career. The pages are eye-catching as well as eay-to-read. If you're interested in purchasing a book to help you further explore GD as a career, or if you are trying to decide what kind of sub-field you're looking for, this is the book for you!

3: Graphic Design in college
Well the book was received in a timely manner... it's definitely something to read because you can then know the reason for the pages of cool pictures and artwork in it. Although, the visuals are helpful when it comes to examples of good projects I should be looking at and mirroring for my beginning graphic design classes. I think this book has a lot to do with the mainstream projects a beginning graphic designer may come across. It's a lot of advice-giving from professional graphic artists, which is good.. Thanks for the neat, new page turner though :-)

4: Great book for the beginner
Beginning designers would benefit from this book. The information is very good and easy to understand. The author presents it in such a manner that someone just getting into design would be able understand the different tyeps of design and different levels you can get to. Very informative and practical.

5: Good read for background info
If you're learning design, this is a great way to start. It lays out the basics and has numerous interviews with current designers. It will help lead you toward a career in design if you pay attention to all their clues. It has many different examples of different design fields, so you can decide which one interests you most. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the color layout. For a design book, it should be more aesthetically pleasing, but it had only black, white, and green. I'm sure that's to keep cost down though.
