Besides being inspirational, this book is packed with self-development strategies as well as information on a proven plan for success. This book is especially relevant to Mary Kay Consultants & Directors but is also a great introduction for someone who might like to read about the business from an insider's perspective...

It was interesting learning how a lady came to the United States and went after this job and really made a great living at it. She let you know what all she went through and how all the things she learned from Mary Kay has helped her to turn her business into something to be proud of.
If you need ecouragement and help this book will help and inspire you to give Mary Kay a chance. It will show you and give hints on things to help you with your business.

This was a nice read an actual honest National Sales Director in Mary Kay, which is so refreshing and rarely common! Believe me you don't get a lot of that in this business of Mary Kay Cosmetics.
As a former consultant I was delighted to read an inspriing story about a lovely, hard working woman who never comprimised her values to make a buck.
What an inspiration!! Mrs. Hennessy-Ortega actually remembers that she is "enriching woman's lives", believes in the Golden Rule and philosophy of, "Faith first, Family second, Career third" It's a pity that so many Sales Directors, and NSD have forgotten this.
If all Sales Directors and NSD read this book and followed what Mrs. Hennessy-Ortega is telling them, there would
A) More sucessful units with fabulous Directors who tell the truth and know how to train and run a unit properly, concentrating on sales, not ordering.
B) More National Sales Directors who actually motivate their area and tell the truth and lastly...
They wouldn't have 95% of the Independent Beauty Consulstants quit within the first year due to lack of support, cattiness and the outright lies they are told when they originally sign up. And of course have to take advantage of the 90% buy back from the company.
Gillian should be the voice,spokesperson and face for a company that needs a woman running it!
