1: Great Book
I started reading Katie MacAlister by reading here 'Dark Ones'/vampire books. Picked up my first Aisling Grey, Guardian/Green Dragon book because it was by her. Loved it and read the whole set of four. Was SO glad she started a Silver Dragon series by writing Playing With Fire. It's great. You get a new heroine named May Northcott, and you get to keep track of what's happening to the main characters from the Green Dragon series. Can't wait for the next Silver Dragon book, Up In Smoke!

2: i was sucked in!!!
This is the first book ive read by Katie MacAlister, but I'm kooked!
I do recomend that you wait to read it until at least the second of this series is out. These characters are addicting. She does leave you hanging at the end but it will be worth it when the next book is out. Now that i've read this book I am starting to buy all of the books by her that include the characters in this one, such as Drake and Asling's story and, as soon as they come out, all of May's story too.

3: Another great book
I love all her dragon books and this one was very good as well. Gabriel finds his mate, but she is in service to a demon and serving as a thief. Interesting but has a cliff-hanger at the end, and that can be a little annoying when you have to wait for the next novel for resolution rather than a more self-contained approach.

4: Enjoyable
I got this book after seeing it on Amazon (didn't know McAlister was coming out with Gabriel's story) and I'm happy to say/write that I don't regret paying for it.
I enjoyed Gabriel and May's story so much I stayed up all night and into the morning reading; it was really funny and sweet... pretty much what I liked and expected from Katie M.
It sucks having to wait till Oct. but as long as the 2nd book is as good as the 1st, I don't mind the wait; this one goes in my Keepers section.

5: 5 stars
May is a Shadow Walker and a notorious thief. Created to be the clone of a na-aid, Cyrene, she often seems more vibrant than her "twin." Perhaps this is why fate has dealt her this hand, to be the mate of the wyvern of the Silver sept of Dragon, Gabriel. She never planned to fall in love with anyone, she doesn't like romance and all that stuff. Besides that, she has to avoid a demon lord, a blackmailer, and the law of the Otherworld. But, she can handle dragon fire and Gabriel is certainly agreeable, even though May tried to steal from him. The fate of the world and the hearts of two lovers are once again bound in this latest adventure in Ms. Macalister's exciting realm.
***** Elevated to primary player status, Gabriel is truly the star he was always meant to be. Fans of the Aisling Grey books will be thrilled to finally see him get his due, and have no fears, Aisling, Drake, and Jim are significant co-stars in this. I did miss our favorite cabbie, but am sure we have not seen the last of him. If you love your daring deeds liberally sprinkled with good humor, then this is a perfect read. *****
