1: My favorite book
LOVER AWAKENED is by far the best book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series for me. Zsadist a member of the Black Dagger Brotherhood is the most feared of all members. His image is hard, cruel and with a tortured soul where Bella is the complete opposite.
Of all the characters in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series I've fallen in love with Zsadist. Despite his cruel reputation he has this beautiful heart and the development of his relationship with Bella is definitely the best story in the series and I can not recommend it enough.
Not only is Zsadist character one to fall in love with but Bella is a heroine I really admire. Unlike many romance novels I have read, Bella is by far not a weakling (You can't be with a character like Zsadist) yet not over the top super woman. She is a relatable character.
J.R. Ward has done an excellent job giving the reader an insight to just how much pain Zsadist has suffer without it being too much and without making the character seem impossible. She should give Kenyon and Feehan a lesson or two about how to get this mix just right.
I never wanted this story to end and unlike many books I'll probably go back and reread this story again and again.

3: Best book of series
I bought the box set which is a great value. I read all of them and keep going back to Lover Awakened. This is the most phenomenal of all the books. I thoroughly enjoy reading Zsadist and Bella's story.

4: Zsadist and Bella
This was my favorite book in this series. The story of Zsadist and Bella was so touching and deeply moving that I cried like a fool at the end. How Bella saw the man behind the scars and the anger just pulled at my heart. Z couldn't believe that Bella could possibly want to be with him, but she would not give up. And good for him that she didn't - she brought out the true soul inside this man. My heart is forever touched by this character.

5: Another great BDB book
Great book. If you like the first 3 books in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, you're going to like this one. Each book keeps getting more in depth and exciting.
