1: Audrey & Bruce Wood's Picture Alphabet series
Children love this book especially since it reinforces letter, both uppercase and lowercase, with an enjoyable story line. Great book to give your pre-school / kindergartener who is learning their alphabet. The children I read this to, loved it.

2: A hit!
My son loves Alphabet Adventure, and Alphabet Rescue is a new favorite. These books are great for looking at letters with a fun story to go along.

3: His dad is a better illustrator
The Woods family has some great books done by the mother and father. Not too impressed with the son's computer graphic illustrations. Have the fish book too. Seems to be capitalizing on earlier success of the parents. Storyline suffers too. This book, while better than the fish one, misses at the beginning and the end even for my young son. Why do the letters fly away on a pencil? And the last page writing a thank you letter to the grandparents? It would be best just to dump these pieces and have a story about the letters in their own world. Also, to have the capital letters' firetruck get in a wreck and totally flip over seems to be an unnecessary violent act. Couldn't the truck have just broken down? It is an okay book. For the price, you could find better ABC stories and much better Woods material.

4: A GREAT book for learning letters!
My three year old fell in love with the first two books in this series. She is now four and was ecstatic to receive the newest book, Alphabet Rescue, for Christmas. She love getting to know the upper and lower case letters!

5: He LOVES it!
My son loves this book and all of the Alphabet books by Audrey Wood. We started reading them together when he was 2 1/2 and the books quickly became his favorites. He has them all memorized and we incorporate "ABC adventures" into stories that we make up for him every night before he goes to sleep. I highly, highly recommend this book and the others by Audrey Wood.
