1: Laughed until I cried
A good friend gave this to my husband and myself at our baby shower. This book is absolutely the funniest thing I have ever read, and just in time for when I need a laugh the most.
After the third night of hearing non-stop hysterical laughter, my husband finally stole the book away from me when I dosed off. He also laughed his a** off, and we are currently fighting over who gets to read this book at night.

2: Very Funny
I wish this book was out when I was pregnant 2 years ago. I couldn't wait until one of my friends got pregnant. I have bought several copies and sent them to all my first time mom friends. They in turn have sent copies to their pregnant friends. Being pregnant is hard enough, it's great to have a book that will make you laugh when your feeling sick or tired all the time.

3: Perfect bedtime reading
As expecting parents, we LOVED this book. Do you have any idea how many humorless, medical-textbook-style books there are on pregnancy? Even the "friendly" ones are hard to get through, after a while. Of course, there's no real information here -- certainly not a substitute for that -- but it's a relief to end the day reading something to the belly that can genuinely make us both laugh. In its own way, this is a heartfelt book that just happens to have a razor-sharp wit. I suggest starting with the first words of the preface, written by the stork.
Of all the great stuff we've gotten from friends and family, this is our favorite.

4: Different than we expected
In the first sentence, the "F" word is used. This book may be funny and entertaing but a bit raunchy, unnecessarily so. I believe there are other ways the author could have made his point without using vile language.
I really don't mind and am not offended by that type of language, but when you start the book out with it, you're sending a message loud and clear.
So beware, if you want to read this book, be prepared for this type of a surprise!

5: Mildly amusing and the humor got old quick
My sister is expecting her first child, so I thought this might make a good gag gift. Fortunately I decided to read it myself before giving it. At first it was mildly amusing and seemed like an okay satire on the "What to Expect" books. But the humor wore thin for me quickly. I like to think I have a decent sense of humor and I love a good satire. Perhaps I just expected too much. I made myself read the whole thing so I could write a decent review. Since I was feeling strongly that I wanted to post a review, I was going to make sure I was totally informed. I did not care for it and did not think my sister would either. I gave her a lovely gift card instead.
