1: So Glad I Didn't Buy It
This is the second Stephanie Laurens book I've read and it will definitely be my last. I borrowed it because it reviewed so highly, but was disgusted at the end of 30 pages. Like several other reviewers I was incredulous that Devil was planning his marriage to a woman he had just met as his dying young cousin lay steps away. Predictable plot, uninteresting characters with stupid names, and many historical inaccuracies. It was a chore to finish.

2: Devil's Bride
Devil's Bride (Cynster Novels) The first in the series of those arousing Cynster Novel's. This is a grand introduction to the Bar Cynster all very male club. You will immediately become captivated and emotionally attracted to Devil himself. A great tale of romance as hot as you can get. Stephanie Laurens really knows how to rage a fire. Word of advise, keep a hand fan available whenever Devil is in the room with you. Very anxious to meet the rest of the club. Onto "A Rake's Vow".

3: 3.5, really
I won't do a synopsis review, as that's been done; instead, here are my own pros and cons to the book:
Pros:
Strong heroine. Honoria is very strong and intelligent, and also not one of those "newbies" to the social scene, so she handles that very well.
Great love scenes. These are a hallmark of Laurens' books, so that should be no surprise.
Believable romance. I could see why the two were drawn to one another...but this is also one of my cons, as they were drawn to each other SO immediately.
Cons:
Rushed Romance: I wanted Devil to be a little bit more specific as to why he absolutely KNEW this was the woman for him, especially considering he knew it after only a few hours. To me, their pairing made sense, but the lack of time together before he made it threw me off.
Too many Humphs. Old people do that, and even then, not as often as Honoria did in this book.
Weak mystery plot. This was so patently obvious. Knowing the reason it wasn't obvious to the characters was not enough to excuse it, either, especially when they didn't make enough fuss about that particular part of the mystery at all.
Overall, 3.5 stars. I wouldn't read it again, but I did appreciate it enough as a start to a good series.

4: Not Bade
I like Stephanie Laurnes and really enjoyed The Promise in a Kiss about Devils parents. I have to say this book wasn't as good as that one. It was predictable. I knew who the killer was within the first few chapters. How Devil couldn't figure it out was totally beyond me! Other than that the book was good and worth reading-from the library.

5: Devil's Bride
While the Cynster series isn't as deep as War & Peace, it is a romantic series that will mostly keep your attention. Devil Cynster meets his match in Honoria. She's met hers.
For a mystery that'll trip you up, try Agatha Christie. Sor sex scenes, try Cheryl Holt.
For a read that's light, but will keep your attention, read Laurens.
