1: Every Dog Owner Needs This
No matter what, you need to be able to diagnose or at least know as much or more than the veterinarian.
Simply put, you don't receive a diagnosis without researching it for yourself or a family (animal/human) member.
|
2: Handy book!
Very helpful to home diagnose your dog and decide if it needs to go to the vet. Also very useful in helping understand illnesses or injuries your vet may have diagnosed.

3: The Veterinarians' Guide to Your Dog's Symptoms
I purchased this as a gift for a new dog owner. She has already said it was very helpful.

4: Simple, helpful
This book was easy to read and go through; but I was done with it in one afternoon. I was looking to be educated about our new adult dog, and I didn't find plenty of content that did it. Most of what was there I already knew. Possibly useful for someone with no knowledge if dogs; but if you've already done a little research, you'll need to step it up a notch.

5: Strictly for Beginners
Bought this book because of its high reviews but it is basically only a beginners guide to dogs. Text is written at the Jr. High level and there is no detailed data about anything. If you are looking for an in depth treatment of symtoms, or information about what to do other than "go to a vet." then pass this one up!
