3: lighthearted erotic caper
Joan Benetti vows to herself that she can live without men so that she concentrates on making her erotic bookstore a success. However, her big problem in adhering to her pledge is tasting the merchandise as the blazing tales make her hot. Thus, in spite of her resolution, she agrees to go out with wealthy businessman Bryce Worthington when he tosses her an introductory pick up line. They eventually go to his hotel room where the heated looks between them would melt the tundra. However, Joan, ever the business guru, offers her companion a deal. He teaches her all he knows about running a business and she will teach him all she learned from her merchandise. Though she thinks both can be done in a very short time, Bryce is thinking like Scherazade, and plans to be a slow learner needing a lifetime of remedial lessons. The heroine's attitude is weird to say the least especially accepting a date with a stranger in an erotic bookstore (even if she owns the place). Still, fans will enjoy this lighthearted erotic caper because of her antics towards the delightful Bryce, who enjoys being the teacher's pet. One warning is don't try some of those passages (unless your mate is willing - Stan where are you) as Joan is a professional. Harriet Klausner
