1: Marton's Writing Has Gone Way Downhill!!!
Marton was once a passable author by Harlequin standards (i.e. possessing skills just above those of a 6th grader) but with her latest batch of books for 2007, she has shown just how low the quality of series romance has sunk.

That the female protagonist doesn't even acknowledge the idea of a pregnancy until nearly three months after she and a complete stranger (the Italian "prince") spend a night in bed together- well, first in a club bathroom and then bed- is laughable.

What woman in her right mind would sleep with a man before knowing his name? Even better, what woman would sleep with a man she didn't know and not get an immediate check for STDs and pregnancy?

Harlequin deals in romance fiction, but is a touch of reality too much to ask for? Marton's plots have become more outlandish just as her female protagonists have become more brainless and their male counterparts more bullheaded and stubborn.

2: Excellente!! Bk No. 2 of a Spicy Trilogy
I have to first say I'm not big on trilogies and mini-series style books, but I have to give kudos to Sandra Marton for her tales of Aimee and Nico, which was got spicy and passionate as every from the first chapter all that way through to the end. I absolutely loved this book as well as the first Book which is Ivy and Damian's story "The Greek Prince's Chosen Wife. And not to ruin it but the last book which is Lucas and Aylssa's story "The Spanish Prince's Virgin Bride" is lovely book also....all 3 books excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3: The Italian Prince's Pregnant Bride
Aimee Black can't believe the audacity of some people, especially the man that just accosted her on the street no less. The granddaughter of the owner of the SCB bank, Aimee has just about had enough of domineering and bossy men. Just that day her grandfather told her he was stepping down from control of the bank, and Aimee knows without a doubt that she is the only person capable in their family to take over the reins. Her grandfather, however, has other plans. Plans that have infuriated Aimee so much that she does something that she never ever does. She goes out to a club drinking and dancing. It is in this club that her eyes meet those of the man that ran into her earlier in the day. When she sees how he is looking at her she thinks of nothing else but running out of the club and getting away, but to no avail. He finds her and proceeds to show her exactly how he feels smart mouthed women should be dealt with.

Prince Nicolo Barbieri is in Manhattan to negotiate the taking over of the SCB Bank. Arriving at his hotel, as he is stepping out of his limo, he runs into a beautiful woman who immediately berates him and all but cusses him out for his actions, no matter that they were completely accidental and Nicolo was actually apologizing. Not prepared for the animosity radiating out of this woman's pores, Nicolo does the only thing he can think of at the time - he kisses her speechless and then dares her to hit him.

Sparks fly when Aimee and Nicolo come together. They have no idea that in just a few short weeks their lives will be even more entwined. While circumstances force Nicolo to do the right thing, Aimee knows that he doesn't love her. Or does he?

The premise and blurb for The Italian Prince's Pregnant Bride captivated my attention so much that I had to read this book. Once I began to read, my expectations went out the window and I found myself more than once wincing at the harsh words Aimee said to Nicolo at their first meeting on the street. However, when he found her in the club and proceeded to show her just how much he had been thinking about her, I blushed and kept reading. I love stories of strangers coming together and then finding each other again, and this was such a book. But, that is where the fairy tale ends. When both characters meet each other again after being apart for three months, the only thing they had going for each other was their desire, which was hard to believe since they spent most of their time together fighting. Nicolo needed his face slapped more than once and I wanted to shake Aimee for the stubborn woman she was.

Sandra Marton's The Italian Prince's Pregnant Bride was a good read, full of hot Italian emotions. I didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to because of the constant conflict between the heroine and hero. I just could not make myself believe that they loved and cared for each other. I will read Sandra Marton's next release in September because while I didn't like the characters of this book, I am not going to forget about how well written the book was, nor how I stayed on the edge of my seat to see where the plot was going.

4: Passionate, powerful.....an amazing story!
Amazing is the only way to describe The Italian's Pregnant Bride. From the very moment, I began reading Nicolo and Aimee's story I knew I was in for an exceptional read. The emotion, passion and attraction these two people feel for each other will have you burning the midnight hours away as I promise you will not be able to put this book down.

This is the first book in Sandra's Billionaire Brides trilogy and if every male character is as charismatic as Nicolo, then the reader is in for sensational entertainment. You get a glance of each of this European princes' and find they are old school friends, all wealthy, talented, sinfully handsome and have no interest in marriage.

Both of these characters so very dynamic, especially Aimee Black, who one learns later is the granddaughter to James Black the very man Nicolo is to meet later that week.

Nicolo is on a mission to add a New York bank to his empire, which he felt, would be his crown jewel. Therefore, he has travelled to Manhattan to meet with James Black. On his way his hotel, he literally bumps into a stunning woman who is so "prickly" and bad tempered that he kisses her in order to silence her.....had he gone mad? Later, he runs into her at a "private club" owned by a friend and shares an evening of passion with this mystery woman. She flees in the morning and he has absolutely no idea of her identity. Aimee has haunted him because of her insults and not accepting his apology. As he gets to know her he admires her defiance, her passion, her determination, fire and courage.

As luck would have it, he sees her again at the bank meeting and a bomb is dropped on both of them......James Black wants a union, a marriage if the sale is to go though. On top of everything else, Aimee learns she is carrying Nicolo's child, a result of their night of passion. Of course being the strong alpha male he demands that they marry to give his heir the

Aimee lost her parents at a young age, had never felt loved by her grandfather who raised her upon her parents death. She had always tried to prove herself and was in hopes of someday being promoted to the top to replace her grandfather at the helm of the privately owned and prestigious bank Stafford-Coleridge-Black. Aimee appears to be a strong person but underneath she was lonely and my heart ached for her especially when she realized she had left herself behind and began to ponder what she might have been......

This is where their journey begins....it's such an unbelievable rollercoaster ride it will have you crying, your heart thumping and anxious to learn more about these two wonderful people. Sandra Marton has yet again, written a beautiful and entertaining story and for me, it will go on my top ten list for 2007.
