1: Emily needs help, desperately - enough to get it from the man who broke her heart
Emily Marshall has stopped looking for love and got engaged to a man who can give her the material things in life. Unfortunately while on a short overnight cruise in his yacht she overhears a conversation that tells her he's into something very illegal. She sneaks away from her daily routine to let the police know what's going on -- and after waiting in a room for a long time, who shows up but the man who broke her heart, Jim Keegan.
Emily doesn't have any real evidence but the police are willing to look into the situation, if she will help them. Jim can pose as her brother (conveniently living far away), move in for a visit and see if he can find enough evidence on her fiance to put him away.
I don't like romances where the hero drives the heroine away 'for her own good' but in this book that episode is in the past and Jim has to learn better. As you expect from Brockmann the villains are seriously nasty, and in this book the heroine spends a lot of time up close to them pretending she doesn't know anything is going on. One of the author's best books, highly recommended.

2: What happened??
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I reviewed this book when I first read it, maybe one year ago?? I don't know what happened to the review, I didn't give anything away... I do remember that I absolutely loved it and it was in fact the best book I have ever read by author Suzanne Brockmann. I read 2-3 books a week and I cannot say I remember specifics, (of no help I know) but I wanted readers to know it is very worth the read. Very fast paced and you will no doubt have trouble putting it down.
