1: Great book on makeup
I got this book after finding it in a library. I have a houseful of teenage and soon-to-be teenage daughters who are all very interested in makeup although they haven't started yet. It doesn't waste too much time with the absolute basics of applying makeup but is very useful on different "looks" and how makeup can be used to achieve desired effects. There are a couple of male and transgender makeup jobs which some might find shocking. For more practical advice on how to apply makeup I also got them his other book, Making Faces.

3: Amazing Artistry
Kevin really was a genius... He treats the face as a canvas, and shows the transformative power of make-up. These kinds of dramatic makeovers take considerable skill and practice, to be sure, but Kevin always insists that it's not about perfection, but about allowing ourselves to try, to dare to be different. Great message from a great artist and human being. This is a fantastic book, both as an art piece and as a makeup book. I highly recommend it!

4: Awesome book!
I purchased 5 different books in this category. This was by far the most inclusive. I immediately starting using the techniques and was amazed by the difference. The book is easy to follow. I recommend it to everyone who wants to learn how to put their best Face Forward.

5: Photographers point in this review
From a photographers point of view, this book is a great addition. In that it gives the photographer and the MUA some ideas of what's possible.. I don't recommend it for new MUA, since it offers no how-to's on how they acheive that look.
