1: Easy to Hard #3
I look for Sudoku books with three qualities. First, I want puzzles that have only one solution. If I find a book that includes puzzles with more than one solution I discard it. Two, I want books with grids large enough that I can enter candidates in the cells. Third, I want books with challenging puzzles. Many of the descriptions on Amazon omit such info.
I prefer grids that are about 4 ??" x 4 ??". The grids in my newspaper are about 3" x 3" (which is tolerable because not many candidates are needed).
Shortz's Sudoku Easy to Hard # 3: The puzzles have only one solution; the grids are 4 ??" x 4 1/2", and 25 are "Light and Easy," 25 "Moderate," 25 "Demanding," and 25 "Beware! Very Challenging."

2: Fun Stuff
You have to think so it's a good thing and something to entertain and or keep you occupied especially on long trips.

3: Good, with some flaws
I was challenged and happy with this book of sudoku until I reached the special "Giant Sudoku" section at the end. This section features a 12x12 sudoku grid in which you are meant to fill in the numbers 1-12. However, the initial setup includes the number 13 in all puzzles!
Other than that, the book provides a nice ramp up from easy to challenging.

4: Great book!
This is one of the first books I tried when first learning to do Sudoku puzzles. It is an excellent one, with good sized puzzles, somewhat difficult for a novice, but that is the challenge! I would definitely recommend it!

5: Shortz and sudoku
This is an entertaining book. Shortz is the best when it comes to puzzles of any type. I eagerly await future books.
