1: Great Purchase
Love this book, I have had it for years, when my children grew up one by one would take my copy. This one is for me to share with my grandchildren.
The book has great pictures and make a great point against lying. The seller was prompt and the book arrived in super time, thank you.

2: Not so subtle manipulation!
The main flaw with this book is that it tries to scare children into telling the truth. We tell the truth because it is commanded by God not because a monster will grow big and follow us around until we fess-up. I didn't have an issue with the monster's weight like another reviewer did, however, I too threw this dribble into the trash.

3: fun way to teach kids about lying
fun book with great message - don't like kids to hear dumb but i tell them that when i read the book but nice book to pick up on how the lie grows and how it can phycially hurt - the kids love it and learn

4: A great book to teach children about the consequences of lying
We checked this book out from the library. Our three year old had a problem with telling us the whole truth. This book really sunk in for her and she was terified of the monster who comes out when the little boy in the story lies. We told her that if we catch her in a lie then we will get out the monster. It has really helped so much and she no longer stretches the truth. Great book and I plan on buying my own copy for future reading.

5: Lovely Life Lesson
I bought my five year old son this book to try to teach him a little about lying. He really enjoyed it and wanted me to read it over and over. It was clever how the authors used a monster to illustrate the point, as most kids love monster stories.
