1: good book
My book is called Fox Outfoxed. The mane characters are Fox, Louse, Carmen, Dexter and they are wanting to win a race and the race was in the afternoon. They were doing the race outside to have fun. I think fox Fox Outfoxed is a good book because it is about some animals that sometimes have adventures and go to school. That's why I think it is a good book. And I would recommend this to my sister, Katie, because she likes animals and there are lots of animals in the book. By Matthew Z.

3: Excellent starter chapter book for 1st-2nd grade
This was my 6 year old daughters first chapter book to be assigned by her teacher for AR. It's reading level 2.2 (according to AR), with 0.5 pts awarded.
These 48 pages tell 3 seperate stories in which Fox gets outfoxed each time. First, Fox is outfoxed in a boxcar race. Next, Fox is outfoxed when he tries to deny owning comic books. Finally, Fox is outfoxed by his younger sister when he leaves her on on bench while he goes trick-or-treating.
The illustrations are colorful and comical, and some pages are top to bottom text providing a challenging read for level 2 & 3 readers. At one point my daughter burst out laughing in a full belly laugh, so this is certainly a humorous book for ages 5-7.
Without a doubt, we will be reading the entire series.
