1: Not very good instructions...
This book is just okay. The book has fairly good explanations of the ideas, but in the "step by step" examples, they don't always tell you what they're doing. I don't know if they're just assuming I'll catch it, but if you're trying to figure out how to do the problem, it's sometimes very hard to understand how they get what they do. My college professor doesn't like this book for that reason either, but I guess there's not much to choose from in this area...
And there ARE answers to the odd numbered questions in the back of the book, which helps.

Man this is a book. What a freakin textbook. Good transaction. Excellent timing on this purchase. Dude got it to me within a week of the sale. Super awesome.

3: Review
This book is very well organized and easy to read, however it has no solutions in the back. Without solutions it is very difficult to understand a text like this.

4: Applied Statics and Strength of Materials
This book presents complicated problems in an easy to follow step by step manner. Calculus is not required to work the problems. An excellent reference or text.
