1: A great way to greet the new year
I would have thought 2009 Diary would have served as a clue that this is a day book, but in it one finds many passages and a wonderful array of images that will endear this book to any Murakami fan and even those who never heard of him before. The most beautiful part about this journal is that it will fit into most any coat pocket and even the smallest of hand bags so that you can take it with you to remind yourself of important dates or simply leaf through the lovely pages while sipping a cup of latte or espresso at a coffee shop.

2: Murakami cool, in diary form!
This is a sweet little diary full of quotes, book covers and associated Murakami paraphernalia; liberally sprinkled with book histories, publishing dates and Japanese holidays.
It's very beautiful, and even comes in a dust jacket, and despite all there is to be enjoyed it still feels quite minimalist; the black and white and red styling complimenting the character of Murakami's novels perfectly.
From a bibliophile's point of view, it is certainly a valued item to keep alongside Murakami's wonderful novels. The only problem i can see is exactly why you would want to write in it at all!

3: Beautiful
This is a beautiful book. Yes, it is a diary. Included are short sections from his books, important Murakami dates are noted, nice images of Japan and cats and other Murakami stuff. This is a beautiful book in and of itself. I will buy additional copies as gifts.

4: Warning!
Maybe i'm stupid but i assumed this was some kind of journal about writing, like a year in the life of Murakami or something. Instead its just a very expensive pocket diary with quotes from Mr Murakami's work. I'm dissapointed that he would allow such an expensive yuppy aaccessory to enter the market.
